Barry Greene

Jazz Guitarist and Educator

"I've been enjoying the guitar as an instrument and its amazing artists all of my life. To me Barry Greene is just about one of the best; not only as a player, but also as a writer and a teacher. I agree with others who regard him as a world class musician."

Barry Greene is a fantastic guitar player. He swings his ass off. Beautiful sound...beautiful ideas. I met Barry recently at the University of North Florida when I was doing clinics and a performance there. He teaches at that school. All the students rave about him so obviously not only is he a great player but a great teacher too.

I have just purchased your 3 month package exposing me to the entire selection of your video guitar lessons and I simply had to inform you that I truly love love them!! Your lessons are excellent and I feel like a young boy on Christmas morning!! I honestly can’t wait to get to them!! What a magnificent player/instructor you are, Barry. I would not hesitate to refer anybody out there that wants to get to the heart of playing jazz guitar to go straight to your lessons FIRST, before spending their money elsewhere. You inspire and educate me on the highest level that I have ever participated in and I’ve tried many sources.
Thank you Barry, this is becoming the best adventure in learning jazz guitar that I’ve come across yet!!

Barry. I just wanted to let you know how much I’m enjoying my yearly subscription. The lessons are fantastic. I’ve been coming home from gigs and practicing late night with them which makes getting up with my kids a nightmare but I can’t stop. Haha. I’ve studied with some of the best teachers in NY/NJ and I have to say that I related to your thought process instantly. Thanks for making shedding fun again and fixing some things that have been plaguing me for a while. You’re a world class player and teacher! Kudos.
I find there’s not enough straight talking instructional material concerning modern sounding jazz guitar - your videos seem to be relevant and informative without being prescriptive which is a rare thing from what I’ve seen.

Keep up the good work!

Artist/Educator Barry Greene defies – no, decimates – the adage that those who can’t, teach. Monster chops, soulful feel, full/rich classic jazz tone, and virtuosic harmonic techniques establish him as a top tier guitarist.

Great tone, control and musical judgment, my favorite type of player.

Hey Barry,

Your lessons have truly been an inspiration! The concepts introduced in each lesson are presented in a clear and concise manner and are easily applicable to other tunes and musical situations. I find it particularly helpful that you focus both on harmonic and melodic ideas, sometimes even combining the two by using polyphonic lines that are just so great. I have purchased three lessons now and will continue to purchase more as long as you keep making them.

I’m a jazz guitarist and jazz guitar teacher from GREECE. I enjoy all the video lessons I’ve purchased from Barry and I have quite a few, about 55 in total. I strongly believe that Barry has the charisma as a teacher, to make a complex topic, simple. This is the case here, with this new video lesson about “linear turnarounds”. To solo fluently in any turnaround situation, is a very important element of jazz. A turnaround is usually a very confusing situation for soloing for the novice student, and is not an easy task to put it into simple words. That’s what Barry is doing in this video lesson. I recommend it to all the serious guitar students and players
Thank you Barry
Keep up the good work.
